The host of this hop really doesn't need any introduction, such is his presence in this here blogosphere. If you've not come across his blog yet you must have been living in a cave. So, welcome back to the world and head on over to the Ninja Captain's blog, you won't be disappointed.
So this fest is exactly what it says on the tin, just list your top ten movies that you love.
Here's mine, in no particular order:
1. Superman - The Movie
2. Smokey and the Bandit II
3. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
4. Paul
5. Skyfall
6. Back to the Future
7. Pirates of the Caribbean
8. The Grudge
9. I, Robot
10. The Young Frankenstein
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Young Frankenstein! You don't see that on a top movie list often, although it's a great film.
ReplyDeleteYou have eclectic tastes - very cool.
Thanks for participating in my blogfest!
No worries, it was a great one to be involved in. Thanks for hosting x
DeleteAh, Superman! I loved that Superman. I have LotR too in my countdown. :)
ReplyDeleteI think Lord of the Rings has been quite a popular one x
DeleteFun list Heather. Back to the Future was one of my last cuts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim. There were so many I had to cut, it's hard whittling it down to just ten.
DeleteAwesome! I love I Robot and Young Frankenstein! The Grudge, holy crap! I guess I'm a wuss, but that movie haunted me for months! I'll never watch it again, lol. :S
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it in a while, I must get it out again. That and The Ring really freaked me out.
DeleteI love so many of the movies on this list. The Lord of the Rings made my top ten list too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's a tough list to compile.
DeleteGreat list. On some tough techy days I think iRobot is coming true and the machines are taking over.
ReplyDeleteIt's a scary thought, but I wouldn't mind having Will Smith around to save the day.
DeleteI forgot Young Frankenstein, it's a classic.
Definitely. Thanks for stopping by,
DeleteThese are all awesome choices! I have seen all of these and love them, too. The Grudge creeped me out in the shower and that little boy. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteThe little boy is the creepiest thing. The bit with the lift gets me every time, even though I know it's coming.
DeleteCall him the bandit, great choice... i think this one had the largest impact for the buddy films for Burt.
ReplyDeleteJeremy [Retro-Z]
Howlin' Wolf
It's one we all grew up with, and we still pretend we know CB talk! Thanks for stopping by good buddy!
DeleteStill need to see Skyfall, and I give people nightmares with my Grudge impression. Awesome list! :)
ReplyDeleteSkyfall is brilliant, I was very emotional walking out of the cinema. Your Grudge impression sounds intriguing ...
DeleteSkyfall and The Grudge in the same list - respect! :) In fact your whole list is great. Do you prefer the Japanese or the US version of the Grudge? I'm a fan of the original Japanese version - scared me silly the first time I saw it.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen the US version of the Grudge, I've been wanting to watch the Japanese version for ages. I'll have to get hold of a copy.
DeleteThanks for popping in.
I, Robot is great, and Lord of the Rings is fantastic. :D I don't know if I could bring myself to watch "The Grudge"--I can only handle so much horror. I've never even heard of Paul, but the cover makes it look like it would be fun. :D
ReplyDeletePaul was excellent, I highly recommend it. When I saw the trailer i worried that it had all the best bits in it, but I was laughing so much throughout it made my tummy hurt.
DeleteiRobot is so good! Gotta love Will Smith! btw, you were awarded the Sunshine Award over the weekend - http://mjjoachim.blogspot.com/2013/03/writing-tips-blog-news.html Best of the day to you! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the award! It's lovely to have a bit of sunshine when there's so much snow around!
DeleteBack to the future! I can't believe I forgot that! Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vik. My daughter is very quickly becoming a fan of it too. I'm so proud!
DeletePirates of the Caribbean! It's so cool that movie! And funny :) Te esperamos por nuestro espacio, si? Abrazos :)
ReplyDeleteI love all three of them, but the first one's my favourite.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Back to the future made mine, Paul was a great one too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. I had to have some comedy mixed in with the horror.
DeleteThanks for dropping in.
Nice movie mix. Ah Christopher Reeves as Superman...I had such a little girl crush on him.
ReplyDeleteHe was definitely my favourite Superman. Although I have a slight (ahem!) crush on Tom Welling in Smallville.
Deletegreat picks! Back to the Future is one of my absolute faves.
All three are so good I can't really pick a favourite. I've seen them so many times now I can play them in full in my head!
DeleteI like your choices but why Smokey and the Bandit II instead of the first one?
ReplyDeleteMy favourite bit is when the cops and truckers have their massive brawl in the desert. It's this film that made me want to be a lorry driver. Instead I had to settle for a lab technician.
DeleteSome great movies in your list! A rather action-packed collection here I think :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that it was kind of hard for me to find your blog (I didn't come here from Alex's link, but tried your blogger profile from my blog - but it has no link to your blog). You might wanna look into amending your blogger profile so that your blog is easier to find for those who rely on Google Friend Connect to find you :)
Thanks for letting me know Trisha. I still have trouble with these kind of details :-)
DeleteI enjoyed I, ROBOT but I liked I AM LEGEND better. And BACK TO THE FUTURE was such a fun movie!
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about I Am Legend! Doh! I loved that one too, creeped me out a little though.
DeleteJust dropping by from the blog hop. Much love for the Pirates! :3
