It's National Wormhole Day!

                   ***********************************

Today and tomorrow we are celebrating National Wormhole Day in honour of Albert Einsteins birthday, which is tomorrow. This little blog hop is courtesy of Stephen Tremp, Laura Eno and L G Smith.

This is a great little blog hop, and it'll only take 100 words more or less, unless you're feeling particularly creative of course.
What would you do and where would you go if you had a fully functioning wormhole, through which you were guaranteed to return home in one piece and to your own world, you know not like they did in Sliders.

                   ************************************

I think if I had a wormhole like this I would take a trip back in time. My daughter is nearly five now, and at times she is just the spitting image of me. It really can be freaky how much of a mini-me she is.
My dad also takes great pleasure in telling me (all of the time) just how much like me she is in character too. She's very fond of dancing around like a twit, singing a lot and talking constantly throughout the day without taking a breath.
I find it hard to believe though that I was as crazy as she is (honestly!) so I'd like to take a trip back to see myself at the same age to satisfy my own curiosity. She must get some of it from her father, surely!

Here is a picture of me and my daughter at a similar age:

  1. Sounds like a nice trip back in time, and it would be great if you could take your daughter with you, so she can see you too:)

    1. If I took my daughter too I'd be afraid of getting her and my younger self muddled up! That would be interesting to come back with myself, although I'm sure that'd probably cause some kind of time paradox ..
      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Hi Heather! New follower! I love your answer. If I had kids ( which I don't- I'm only 16), I'd surely do the same thing! My blog: morgankatz505.blogspot.com

  3. Aw how sweet. My niece is a spitting image of my sister, and I'm sure it brings back some wonderful memories for my mum. I have no children yet but I often wonder if I did would they be like me...

    1. As she gets older I wonder more and more what she'll turn out like. It's a fascinating and scary journey to be on.
      Thanks for visiting.

  4. Hmmm, I may have revisited my childhood a little in today's post too. But wouldn't that be freaky to go back and see yourself as a kid. Oh, I'd want to hug myself and warn me not to let anyone tell me I can't do something, well, except play with matches. That's bad. :)

    1. That's a good message to pass on to yourself. It'd be weird though, talking to yourself. Wait, actually I do it all the time!
      Thanks for the comment.

  5. For some reason, I can't see the photos. But that is a sweet thing to wish for. The question is, can you handle the answer?

    1. Hmm, not sure what happened with the pictures. I'm not always great with the technical stuff. In answer, I'm not sure if I could handle knowing if she's more like me. It's probably best not to know how mad she might get!

  6. Yeah, the photos didn't show. But that would be such a funny outcome no matter which way it turned - whether she's just like you at that age or not. Curiously funny. :)

    1. Thanks for stopping by, the idea came to me as soon as I saw it. The little one was dancing around the living room too and it just seemed appropriate!

  10. We could all maybe benefit from seeing ourselves as children. Seeing and loving that kid used to be might help us feel better about our adult selves. The picture didn't show up, but it's really neat to think of your daughter as a mini-you.

Nice to meet you. Count me in as your newest groupie.

    1. Hi Susan, thanks for stopping by. I don't know what went wrong with the picture, but she is definitely mini me. It's scary!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I think she knows just how cute she is too, and when to turn it on to make me laugh and not be mad with her. Little tinker! I'm sure I couldn't possibly have been like that, he he.

  12. That would be interesting to see ourselves as children! You might discover that you were just as bubbly as your daughter is now.

  13. I'd be interested to see myself as a toddler. That'd be amusing :)

  14. I feel like I would want to smack myself as a toddler. It's cute to hear that your daughter is like you though :)
