Express Yourself!

I came across this meme a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to get involved for ages. It is hosted by Dani at Entertaining Interests and Jackie at Bouquet of Books and you can head over to either of these to check out the details more fully and see who else is taking part.

At the beginning of each month the girls will post a gadget with a list of topics for each week. This is the list for May:

On the Monday of each week you can then post something in relation to the topic for the week. I'm a day late with this one, but it's alright because if you don't/can't post regularly on a Monday there is still the rest of the week to post.

Head on over to the linky list if you'd like to sign up!

And so, for this weeks Express Yourself, What are you reading right now?

Picture from blog.paperblanks.com
This is the first book to be read as part of the new book club we've started at work. I'm only about 30 pages in at the moment but it's going along nicely. It's not very long, only 117 pages, so I'm hoping to whizz through this one fairly swiftly.

Then I can go and see the film!

What are you reading at the moment?

  1. That's a great idea Heather. I plan to see Gatsby, but I'm on the fence if I should read the book first .

    1. I always like to read the book first if I can. And Gatsby's only short really.

  2. I enjoy reading the Express Yourself memes! Really fun. And I know I read Gatsby as a teen, but all I remember is the Robert Redford movie version ;-)

    1. I haven't seen any of the older films and didn't really know much about it before reading it. Sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn't ...

  3. I loved The Great Gatsby. I just got through reading Dead Ever After and not reading anything else at the moment.

  6. I was supposed to read The Great Gatsby for my English Literature degree, but it's one of the many books I neglected to read. I regret it now, because it's supposed to be so good! Maybe I'll give it a try, one day :)

    1. It's never too late. I've had to skip a couple of books on my English course, but I'll definitely go back to them once the pesky exam is out of the way!

  7. It's almost always fun to see the movie after reading the book. I enjoy comparing the two and usually find out I like the book so much better.
