Today is a blogfest all about genre, all you have to do is say what your favourite genre is for:
Movies
Music
Books
A guilty pleasure genre from any of the the three above.
Oh, and don't forget to head over to Alex J Cavanaugh's to link up and check out everyone else's favourites too!
Definitely science fiction/fantasy.
I've always loved being whisked off
to weird and wonderful places, inspires me to come up with my own. Back to the Future is a firm favourite, and I was so happy when my daughter asked me to put it on. Her dad was so pleased!
Music genre:
Rock music. My musical taste is quite eclectic, but rock reigns supreme on my iPod. I've been in love with Jon Bon Jovi since I was about 12.
Horror is right at the top. Stephen King is my overall favourite, but I'm quite happy with Shaun Hutson or James Herbert. It'd make my life if I wrote something and Stephen King said he liked it.
My guilty pleasure? I'm afraid to say that my guilty pleasure is definitely Shakin' Stevens while I'm doing the housework. I'm only allowed to listen to it with headphones or in my car though!
Excuse me, are you by clone in Bizarro world? lol I ask because we have identical tastes save for the Shakin' Stevens thing. Whatever that it, I might not want to know. lol
ReplyDeleteShakin' Stevens is an acquired taste I must admit.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Haha awesome guilty pleasure :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. What can I say, he just gets me grooving!
DeleteBack to the Future is one of those movies I watch sometimes when it's on. When the TV is kinda in the background and you're half paying attention. A classic!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for that. I've watched it so many times I can come in at any point and still enjoy it.
DeleteLove your favourites, owing to changing my blog didn't know about the blogest until today so only wrote about music.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an interesting read.
Yvonne.
Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to comment.
DeleteI like Back to the Future, too.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the blog.
DeleteI'm with you on the movies and music!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in my blogfest.
Thanks for hosting the blogfest! Great idea.
DeleteJon Bon Jovi looks better now than he did way back when. Too hot!
ReplyDeleteWell I think his hair makes up for a large part of that, he he.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
I thought Jon Bon Jovi was cool when I was a teenager in the eighties. I would agree with Nancy - he looks better now!
ReplyDeleteHe is certainly still a dish. Thanks for reading.
DeleteMy husband wishes I would restrict my guilty pleasure to headphones or the car (when he's not in it of course). Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hopping over.
DeleteI love Back to the Future! I still laugh every time I see the scene where Marty's young dad asks for a chocolate milk at the bar.
ReplyDeleteAllison (Geek Banter)
It is one of the best. Now I must make like a tree, and get out of here!
DeleteI quote Back to the Future on almost a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a horror fan but I did like Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
I'm glad it's not jut me! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHi, Heather. I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with this Shakin' Stevens guy. Should I investigate this further? :) I'm guessing not.
ReplyDeleteI loved the rock music and Stephen King mentions.
Sorry it's taking me so long to get through this list. Darn day jobs! *waves*

I went through a period where I read nothing but Stephen King for weeks. I got over it but I still check out his new stuff eventually.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who Shakin' Stevens is, but woo-hoo for Back to the Future and Stephen King!
