This weeks topic of conversation:  What are some questions that you get asked time and time again?

My husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary next month, and before we were married my name would cause some amusement to people that I would meet.

My maiden name is Heather McCartney, and I lost count of the amount of times people would ask things like:

• ooh, I bet you don't have to wait long to get into places do you?
• how's Paul doing since you left?
• so which one is your wooden leg then?

My husband even had to phone up to arrange something in both of our names, and when they asked my name and he told them their reply was 'no, seriously. What's your girlfriends name?'

Honestly! 

 

An added advantage to getting married was changing my name. Now it's short, sweet and simple. (I am only two of these things, by the way, and I shouldn't have to tell you which!)
